Numerous medals and accolades in his medical career. Trained in the prestigious premiere institute of PGIMER ,Chandigarh for his post doctoral degree. Susequently he was a Specialist Registrar in Endocrinology in the University hosptal of Wales,Cardiff in UK & Case Western Reserve University at Cleveland.

Involvement in Clinical Research and more than 10 multicentric trials in phase 3 & 4.

Published more than 30 papers in peer reviewed journals & has given more than 800 orations in local,National & International seminars,CME

Actively involved in both undergraduate & post graduate medical teaching throughout his career & involved in mentoring more than 10 post-graduate trainees in Medicine/Family Medicine.

Currently he is a Visiting Consultant in many corporate Hospitals of the city of Kolkata including Fortis,AMRI & Medica Superspeciality hospitals & the founder Director of SCB Diabetes & Hormone Research Foundation.
